Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our trusted employment and advisory partners for a dynamic Business Development Manager.
Based out of Cardiff with hybrid working and regular travel across Wales, you will support the delivery of the Restart Scheme on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). In this role, you will generate, build, and grow robust partnerships with employers across Wales, transforming business needs into genuine job opportunities for scheme participants. You will work closely with internal resourcing and coaching teams to ensure the right candidates are matched to sustainable roles, driving high-quality employment and skills outcomes.
Account Management: Manage and develop a minimum of 10 key employer accounts within a designated sector, serving as the primary point of contact and building trusted, long-term relationships.
Proposition Promotion: Promote comprehensive employment, skills, and training offers (including pre- and post-employment support) to expand existing accounts and establish partnerships with new employers.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with Resourcers, clearly communicating employer expectations to facilitate effective screening, rapid pacing, and successful candidate placements.
Metric Tracking: Track and report on core performance metrics including placement numbers, satisfaction rates, job sustainability, and repeat usage for stakeholders.
Data-Driven Improvement: Utilize data insights to optimize account management strategies, boost employer engagement, and elevate overall service delivery.
Professional Background: Proven experience in sales, business development, recruitment, or employer engagement, ideally within a high-volume setting.
Educational Qualification: Qualified to NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent qualification or practical experience).
Sector Knowledge: A sound understanding of the UK skills and employability landscape, including current market trends and challenges.
Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and influencing skills tailored to a diverse stakeholder base.
Analytical Mindset: Strong data-driven problem-solving capabilities with the ability to translate high-level strategies into actionable plans.
Vetting Requirement: Successful completion of BPSS clearance (identity verification, employment history, and criminal record checks) alongside an Occupational Health Questionnaire.
