At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are currently recruiting a practical and reliable Maintenance Assistant on behalf of Barchester Healthcare to join the team at Reigate Beaumont Care Home.
In this role, you will help maintain safe, warm, and attractive surroundings for residents, staff, and visitors. From routine repairs and safety checks to general up-keep of the building and grounds, your work ensures the home makes a great first impression and functions smoothly every day.
Key Responsibilities
Property Upkeep: Carry out day-to-day maintenance tasks, basic repairs, and general handyman duties throughout the building and surrounding grounds.
Safety & Compliance: Assist with routine health and safety checks, fire alarm tests, and equipment audits to ensure a safe living environment.
Environment Standards: Ensure all resident rooms, communal areas, and facilities are well-maintained to the highest quality standards.
Resident Support: Interact respectfully and kindly with residents while completing repairs in their living spaces.
About You
Experience: Practical experience in building maintenance, facilities upkeep, or DIY/trade work.
Key Traits: Patient, caring, dependable, and comfortable working around older adults.
Work Ethic: A proactive, "can-do" attitude with the versatility to handle a varied workload.
Skills: Excellent practical abilities paired with good communication and organizational skills.
