Hours: 18 hours per week (Saturday and Sunday, 08:30 - 17:30)
Contract Type: Permanent (Part-Time)
Salary: £12,458.16 per annum
Are you looking for a dependable weekend role within a school facilities environment? We are currently recruiting for a Weekend Caretaker to join the team at Noel Baker Academy in Derby.

What You Will Do
Ensure strict compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental, and COSHH laws and site procedures.
Carry out first-line investigations into building faults, isolate or make safe where necessary, and log referrals with the Helpdesk.
Perform minor maintenance works, planned maintenance tasks, and risk assessments/method statements.
Handle general external site upkeep, including litter picking, leaf collection, snow clearance, and gritting during winter months.
Provide cover for holidays, sickness, and emergencies when required.
Important Note on Vetting: A successful Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) clearance is a mandatory prerequisite for this role.

What We Are Looking For
Previous experience within the Facilities Management (FM) industry.
Physically fit to handle general caretaker duties and external maintenance tasks.
Experience in completing Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS).
Strong timekeeping, attendance record, and a customer-focused, outgoing personality.
Ideally live within 20 miles of Derby.
The ability to successfully pass an enhanced DBS check and valid evidence of the right to work in the UK.
