About this role
Marie Curie is looking for a permanent part-time Healthcare Assistant (30 hours a week) at the Belfast Hospice In-Patient Unit. You must be available for day shifts, night shifts and weekends.
What you will do:
- Give personal care and help with meals, treating patients with dignity and respect
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Communicate with families, including during sensitive and emotional conversations
What they ask for:
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent (Level 2 numeracy and literacy preferred)
- At least 6 months' recent care experience is preferred
- Knowledge of palliative and end-of-life care
- Able to plan care, respond to changes and escalate appropriately
Pay stated by the employer: Band 2 (aligned with Agenda for Change), £25,272 pro rata per year plus enhancements. Benefits stated include 27 days' annual leave plus 11 public holidays, a pension, training, a season ticket loan, a Blue Light Card and life assurance. Closing date: 9 November 2026.
