As a Bank Residential Senior Carer at Shawford Springs Care Home, you will look after the diverse needs of our residents to enable us to deliver exceptional, person-centred care and support.
Working flexibly on a casual bank contract, you will lead a team of care staff on shift—handling training, supervisions, and task delegation. You will also support clinical tasks such as administering and ordering medication, updating care plans and risk assessments, and liaising with GPs, district nursing teams, and resident families while always maintaining a warm, vibrant home environment.
Lead, mentor, and delegate duties to a team of care staff during shifts, providing supervision and guidance.
Administer and order medication safely in compliance with home policies and procedures.
Review, update, and maintain accurate resident care plans and risk assessments.
Liaise professionally with GPs, district nurses, and resident family members.
Provide flexible bank cover across day or night shifts as required to support the home.
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
Experience: Previous experience in a residential care setting with proven team leadership skills.
