Dining Room Assistant

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is pleased to recruit on behalf of Care UK, an award-winning care provider seeking an enthusiastic Dining Room Assistant to join their team in Edinburgh, UK. This entry-level role offers full training, clear career development pathways, and health and wellbeing support within a collaborative care home environment.

In this resident-focused role, you will enhance the daily mealtime experience for residents by providing excellent service, maintaining dining room cleanliness, and encouraging positive social interaction. You will prepare dining spaces ahead of meals, keep hospitality areas well-stocked, and assist with special events and celebrations held within the home.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up dining rooms prior to meals, keep the Bistro area replenished, and maintain hygiene checklists.

• Serve meals, provide attentive customer service, and encourage social engagement among residents during mealtimes.

• Support care home hospitality operations and assist in hosting special events and resident gatherings.

Requirements

• Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate (or willingness to complete within 12 weeks of starting).

• Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills with a friendly, service-oriented attitude.

• Experience in food service or waiting is beneficial, but not essential, provided you share Care UK's core values.
