About the Role
Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Avery Healthcare to recruit a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Kitchen Assistant for Ascot Grange Care Home in Sunninghill.
In this essential culinary support role, your focus will be to assist the catering team with food preparation and maintain a clean, hygienic environment for the safe production of meals and beverages, ensuring a high-quality service is delivered to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply the principles of safe food handling to ensure all food preparation in the kitchen meets the highest standards of hygiene.
Contribute fully to teamwork, responding positively to colleagues and executing work instructions promptly.
Advise on the supply and quality of kitchen items, ensuring the timely and appropriate ordering of replacement goods.
Act courteously toward residents and visitors, always respecting the dignity and individuality of every resident.

What We Are Looking For:
Certifications & Standards: Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
Health & Safety Knowledge: Good awareness of Health and Safety regulations, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
Work Ethic: An efficient worker capable of sustained physical effort and managing a demanding workload.
Attitude: Initiative, flexibility, and a genuinely caring attitude toward elderly residents.
