Support Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with secure custodial facilities to connect dedicated professionals with meaningful justice and rehabilitation roles. We are currently recruiting a resilient and proactive Prison Support Officer – Industries to join the team at the state-of-the-art Category C prison, HMP Fosse Way.
In this rewarding role, you will participate in the daily operations of the industries building, workshops, and classrooms. You will coordinate purposeful activity spaces, support tutors, and help maximize opportunities for prisoners to engage in work, education, and training that directly benefit their rehabilitation and the smooth running of the establishment.
What You’ll Do
Workshop Support: Assist staff and tutors across various industrial and vocational areas—such as Waste Management, Lighting, the Barista Academy, Music Production, and the Resettlement Hub.
Movement & Flow Control: Ensure the safe, secure, and timely movement of prisoners from residential wings to industries workshops, monitoring attendance and reporting concerns.
Escort Duties: Escort prisoners, contractors, visitors, and vehicles safely to and from the industries building in line with local security strategies.
Security & Compliance: Manage keys and radios securely, maintain visual surveillance for potential incidents, and keep precise records to ensure health, safety, and audit standards are met at all times.

Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with prior experience working with people in customer- or public-facing roles.
Organizational Skills: Flexibility, reliability, strong time management, good judgment, and effective problem-solving abilities.
Education: A good standard of education, including GCSEs (or equivalent).
