Position: Staff Nurse - Day Unit
Location: New Victoria Hospital, Kingston upon Thames (KT2 7EG)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours per week, Monday–Saturday shifts; Day Unit long days from 6:30 AM – 7:30 PM across 3 x 12.5-hour shifts; Saturday bank shifts carry an enhanced rate)

Role Overview
We are looking for a passionate and professional Staff Nurse to join our busy Day Unit team. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with consultants, nursing colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams to assess, plan, and deliver outstanding, patient-centred care throughout every patient's hospital journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care in line with professional standards and hospital policies.
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans while monitoring patient progress closely.
Safely administer medications and treatments according to clinical protocols.
Support patients and their families seamlessly throughout admission, treatment, and discharge.
Maintain accurate patient records, conduct effective clinical handovers, and champion infection prevention and clinical governance.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Registered Adult Nurse with current, valid NMC registration. (Newly qualified nurses are warmly encouraged to apply!)
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with high attention to detail.
Strong clinical judgement and the ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Flexible, adaptable, and responsive to changing service needs.
Desirable: Previous surgical nursing experience, mentoring experience, or teaching skills.
