As a Prison Officer at HMP Doncaster, you will work with purpose to maintain a safe, secure, and constructive environment. Transfer your skills from customer service, retail, administration, logistics, or the Armed Forces into a stable career that offers genuine societal impact and structured career progression into operational management (salaries ranging from £36,000 to £42,000).
Wing Supervision: Supervise prisoners across all daily wing activities, maintaining order and security.
Encouraging Rehabilitation: Oversee work and education programs, motivating prisoners to actively participate.
Operational Security: Conduct headcounts, cell searches, and essential administrative processes.
Vulnerability Management: Safely manage prisoners who are at risk of self-harm, providing critical support.

Vetting Ready: Ability to pass Ministry of Justice Enhanced Level 2 Clearance and an Enhanced DBS with adult and child barring clearances (requiring 5 years of checkable history). (Note: This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974).
Comprehensive Training: A 10-week Initial Training Course (ITC) at the prison (8 weeks classroom-based, 2 weeks shadowing) leading to a Diploma in Custodial Care, First Aid, and Control & Restraint certification.
