About the Role
Are you an experienced, compassionate clinical leader looking for an empowering role where you can guide a dedicated team and shape the highest standards of care?
As a Charge Nurse at Drummond Grange Care Home, you will provide expert clinical leadership to everyone from junior nurses to clinical practitioners on night shifts. You will set an example by building meaningful relationships with patients living with conditions such as dementia and brain injuries, ensuring their physical, psychological, and social needs are fully met.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with families to create, review, and evaluate tailored patient care plans and risk assessments
Allocating key workers, orientating new staff, and mentoring them to deliver exceptional care
Supporting senior clinical staff and assisting with investigations or complaints to maintain dignity and respect
Driving quality improvements and acting as a pillar of support for your team, patients, and their families
About You
To join us as a Charge Nurse, you will need:
A valid Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with current NMC registration and a supervision qualification
Extensive nursing experience in a mental health setting, particularly caring for patients with dementia and complex behaviours
Up-to-date knowledge of clinical practices and regulatory frameworks (including DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines)
A strong track record of clinical mentoring, leadership, and delivering continuous quality improvements
