We are currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Operative for the Asylum Accommodation and Support Services Contract (AASC) in Nottingham East.
In this role, reporting to the Field Operations Manager, you will provide general maintenance, property upkeep, and garden maintenance services to ensure our properties remain safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.
What You’ll Do
As a Maintenance Operative, your responsibilities will include:
Property Maintenance & Repairs: Provide general maintenance services, ensuring properties comply with contract standards and building safety regulations.
Fault Reporting & Scheduling: Log and close faults efficiently via the AORA IT system, prioritize KPI workloads, and handle planned maintenance tasks (such as annual HHSRS reports and PAT testing).
Safety & Compliance: Review key property reports (e.g., asbestos, risk assessments, and method statements) before undertaking any works to maintain a safe environment.
Materials & Waste Management: Purchase materials and PPE solely from approved suppliers, track receipts accurately, and dispose of work waste safely in licensed recycling areas.
Groundskeeping: Undertake routine garden maintenance duties for assigned properties.
Schedule & Requirements
Working Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (8 hours per day on patch, flexible between 08:00 and 18:00).
Driving Licence: A valid UK driving licence is essential due to regional travel requirements.
Experience: Practical general DIY experience.
