We are excited to represent Avery Healthcare in their search for a dedicated, warm, and experienced Registered Nurse on a flexible bank contract to join the award-winning team at Poets Mews Care Home in Somerset.
The Role
Are you an accomplished registered nurse looking for a flexible, rewarding role where you can lead shifts, provide expert clinical care, and champion resident wellbeing? As a Registered Nurse, your focus will be to act as the person in charge—standing in for the manager as required and ensuring exemplary standards of clinical care are consistently delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertaking essential clinical tasks, including medication distribution, wound dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and managing chronic medical conditions.
Communicating proactively with residents' families and GPs regarding any changes in condition to ensure they remain informed and involved in ongoing care choices.
Taking responsibility for the effective deployment and supervision of the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during your shift and residents receive the highest standard of support.
Providing exceptional care through accurate assessment and robust care planning.
About You

Requirements:
Hold a First Level qualification and current, active NMC Registration.
A minimum of 2 years of experience backed by up-to-date clinical knowledge and relevant post-basic studies or qualifications.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, instruct, and demonstrate care activities effectively.
Sound knowledge of care planning and its practical implementation.
Requirements for Employment: Proof of eligibility to work in the UK and a DBS Disclosure check (the cost of which is fully covered by Avery Healthcare).
