As a Pharmacy Colleague, you will be the welcoming face of our bustling in-store pharmacy, providing patients with the same warmth and friendliness they experience throughout the rest of the store.
This role offers an incredible pathway for professional growth. We are fully committed to your development: you will be supported to complete an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within your first 6 months, followed by training as a Dispensing Assistant. Please note: To be employed in this role, you must successfully pass an enhanced safeguarding check.
What You Will Do
Provide Compassionate Care: Confidently discuss personal health issues with customers, resolve problems quickly, and guide them to the right over-the-counter products with a friendly chat along the way.
Process Prescriptions: Accurately assemble and process prescriptions, and collect prescriptions directly from local doctor surgeries on behalf of customers.
Support Clinical Services: Assist the Pharmacist with patient services (such as blood pressure checks and stop-smoking schemes) and ensure precise, effective record-keeping.
Drive Pharmacy Services: Promote awareness of extra in-store offerings, including the Prescription Collection Service and Medicines Use Reviews.
Maintain High Standards: Develop a thorough understanding of strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work meticulously within them.
About You
Naturally Friendly & Organized: You love helping people, possess great problem-solving skills, and want to get stuck in to deliver wonderful healthcare results.
Detail-Oriented: You have good computer skills and strong attention to detail.
Flexible & Reliable: You are keen to work 16 hours a week across flexible daytime shift patterns, with a requirement for weekend working.
