This role offers social-friendly working hours, alternate weekends, and comprehensive training via Care UK's internal Catering Academy, making it suitable for both experienced individuals and those new to catering.
In this essential support position, you will work closely with the kitchen team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and assist in food preparation for care home residents. You will help ensure dry and perishable goods are stored correctly, equipment is hygienic, and kitchen operations run smoothly to support resident wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standards, ensuring pots, utensils, and food preparation areas are thoroughly cleaned.
Assist chefs with basic meal preparation tasks, such as prepping vegetables and making sandwiches for resident mealtimes.
Safely store cleaning materials and manage the correct storage of dry and perishable produce according to food safety guidelines.
