Supportive Bridge Staffing is recruiting a Trainee Chemistry Teacher on behalf of Lift Kingswood in Hull. Delivered in partnership with Ark Teacher Training, this school-based Initial Teacher Training (ITT) Salaried route enables you to earn a full annual salary while working towards both Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)—with zero tuition fees.
You will spend the majority of your time gaining hands-on classroom experience in an Outstanding school environment, putting pedagogical theory into practice as an unqualified Chemistry teacher. You will be supported by 1-on-1 expert mentoring, weekly structured training modules, and an intensive two-week Summer School to build your confidence before the academic year begins.

Mandatory Summer School: A two-week preparatory course (2–13 August 2027) providing a solid foundation in educational theory, lesson planning, and classroom behaviour management.
Degree: Undergraduate degree with a 2:2 classification or above (or equivalent) by the start of the programme. A degree in Chemistry or a related STEM field is preferred; alternatively, a strong A-Level in Chemistry (Grade C or above) will be considered.
GCSEs: Grade 4/C or above in GCSE English & Mathematics (or equivalent).
QTS & Residency: Must not currently hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Must possess full Right to Live and Work in the UK for the duration of the training year.
