Salary: £80,000 to £85,000 per year (plus performance-related incentives)

Location: North East and Yorkshire (Based from regional operations; address: Leeds, LS5 3ED, with regular travel across the region)

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, high-impact Regional Director to join our Operations team within the North Division at Avery Healthcare. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across a portfolio of luxury care homes in the North East and Yorkshire. In this pivotal leadership role, you will drive quality, commercial performance, regulatory compliance, and high standards of resident care while coaching Home Managers to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inspirational leadership, coaching, and support to Home Managers, building high-performing teams and a strong pipeline of future talent across the region.

• Drive quality, compliance, occupancy, profitability, and overall operational performance to ensure homes consistently meet Avery standards and regulatory requirements.

• Conduct regular home visits, audits, and performance reviews, utilizing data and insights to identify opportunities, manage risks, and ensure continuous improvement.

• Build and maintain robust relationships with residents, families, regulators, commissioners, and key stakeholders, acting as a passionate ambassador for Avery Healthcare.

• Guide homes through operational challenges, safeguarding matters, complaints, and commissioning activities while keeping residents at the heart of every decision.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualifications: Must hold either a Registered Nurse qualification or a minimum Level 4 Care and Management qualification (alongside a full UK driving licence and willingness to travel).

• Experience: Proven track record in a regional or multi-site operational leadership role within health and social care.

• Knowledge & Skills: Strong, up-to-date knowledge of CQC regulations, the Health and Social Care Act, and quality governance frameworks. Excellent commercial acumen, financial budgeting experience, and outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.
