Role Overview
Supportive Bridge Ltd is recruiting a proactive Rent Recovery Support Officer to join the Housing Income Recovery Team at Redbridge Council. In this role, you will play a critical part in maximizing rent collection, pursuing arrears systematically, and helping customers effectively manage their rent accounts across Council Housing and Temporary Accommodation.
Key Responsibilities
Income & Arrears Recovery: Pursue rent arrears systematically in line with organizational procedures to maximize overall income recovery across Temporary Accommodation and Council Housing.
Tenant Engagement: Contact tenants in a timely, structured manner to resolve arrears issues, respond to customer inquiries within set timescales, and complete associated transactional tasks.
Account Transitions: Assist customers in managing their arrears as they transition between different temporary accommodation settings.
Escalations & Case Transfers: Identify complex cases and transfer customers to the Rent Collection Team, Court Officers, or the Specialist Support Team in accordance with policy guidelines.
Record Keeping & Monitoring: Maintain comprehensive, up-to-date records of all recovery actions taken, tracking the outcome and impact of each intervention.
Multi-Agency Collaboration: Partner with relevant internal teams and external support agencies to ensure income is maximized for both residents and the organization.
