As the permanent Activities Coordinator at Wakehurst Hall, you will play a vibrant role in celebrating life and creating a stimulating, engaging environment for our residents.
Embodying our person-centred ethos, you will spend time getting to know residents and their families to devise imaginative, fun, and motivational activities tailored to every interest and ability. Your programs will focus squarely on maximizing wellbeing, independence, and social connection both inside the home and out in the local community.
Design, organize, and deliver imaginative, varied, and engaging activity programs tailored to individual resident interests and abilities.
Spend quality time getting to know residents and their families to understand their hobbies, life stories, and preferences.
Foster strong links with the local community, organizing outings, events, and visiting entertainers.
Inspire and encourage both residents and care staff to participate enthusiastically in daily events.
Support resident wellbeing, cognitive stimulation, social engagement, and physical activity.
Values: Warm, empathetic, personable, and bursting with infectious enthusiasm and creative energy.
Skills: Excellent organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and strong communication abilities.
Experience: Similar experience in care, leisure, or community coordination is a bonus, but not essential—full training and career development will be provided!
Commitment: Available for a permanent full-time contract of 40 hours per week.
