The Role
We are currently recruiting on behalf of Co-op Food Stores for a driven and customer-focused Customer Team Leader to join their busy store team on Fairfax Street in Coventry.
As a Customer Team Leader, you’ll take the next step toward managing your own store by leading a small, friendly team in a fast-paced environment. Whether you're supporting the shop floor, managing the in-store bakery, or helping customers make life easier, every day brings new opportunities to lead by example.
What You’ll Do:
Lead Your Shift: Own the day-to-day running of the store by leading and motivating your team during your shift.
Coach & Inspire: Support and coach colleagues to deliver exceptional service and efficient operations.
Hands-On Operations: Work hands-on across the shop floor, tills, and in-store bakery, setting the pace for your team.
Drive Performance: Support store performance through effective merchandising, stock accuracy, and HR processes.
Champion the Community: Promote Co-op Membership and engage with local community initiatives.
What You’ll Bring
Age Requirement: You must be aged 18 or older to authorize age-related sales.
Passion for People: A strong enthusiasm for leadership, team management, and bringing out the best in others.
Flexibility & Availability: The ability to work varied shifts—including early mornings (store opening), afternoons, late evenings (store closing), and at least one weekend shift.
Enthusiasm for Retail: Skills or an interest in retail, merchandising, or team management (previous experience is not essential—full training is provided!).
