Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated, positive, and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our team on a flexible bank contract. In this pivotal role, you will take day-to-day responsibility for running a care unit, leading and inspiring a team of Care Assistants, and ensuring our residents receive the highest standard of personal, compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take day-to-day responsibility for running a care unit, including leading effective shift handovers.

• Administer and issue medication, review individual care plans, and maintain accurate records using modern digital care systems.

• Lead, manage, train, and supervise a team of Care Assistants, ensuring new team members feel welcomed and supported.

• Build meaningful relationships with residents, their families, and external healthcare professionals such as GPs and District Nurses.

• Assist residents with personal care duties and champion clinical excellence on every shift.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Completed or actively working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (full training and support provided if needed).

• Previous experience in a senior care role with a solid understanding of its rewards and challenges.

• Motivated, positive, and equipped with fantastic interpersonal and leadership skills.
