We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join the team at Ferry Leisure Centre. In this crucial role, you will maintain the critical infrastructure that teams and visitors rely on every day. Whether responding to urgent faults or carrying out planned maintenance, your work will help ensure a safe, welcoming environment for the whole community.
What You’ll Do
Repairs & Maintenance: Carry out reactive repairs, fault finding, servicing, commissioning, and maintenance across a wide range of plant and equipment.
Preventative Care: Complete planned preventive maintenance (PPM) routines to ensure all facility systems operate efficiently and reliably.
Health & Safety: Work strictly in line with health and safety policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
Communication & Collaboration: Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding faults, defects, and spare parts requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Take a proactive approach to improving working practices, maintenance procedures, and safety systems.
Operational Support: Support wider site needs, including participating in the on-call rota and attending training as required.
What We Are Looking For
Experience: Proven experience working within a similar maintenance, facilities management, or building services environment.
Technical Knowledge: Good working knowledge of mechanical and electrical (M&E) building services systems.
Customer Focus: Strong communication skills with a collaborative, customer-focused approach.
Problem-Solving: A proactive mindset with the ability to solve technical problems efficiently and work independently or as part of a team.
