Are you an energetic and hands-on individual looking for a rewarding permanent role where your contribution directly enhances residents' daily dining experiences? As a Kitchen Assistant, your primary focus will be supporting the catering function in food preparation, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment, and ensuring the safe production of meals and beverages to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
Understanding and applying the principles of safe food handling to ensure all food preparation in the kitchen meets the highest standards of hygiene.
Contributing fully to teamwork, responding positively to colleagues, and actioning all reasonable work instructions promptly.
Advising on the supply and quality of items used for daily tasks, ensuring the timely and appropriate ordering of replacement goods.
Interacting respectfully with residents and visitors, always honoring the dignity and individuality of every resident.

Requirements:
Hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high standards of personal hygiene.
Good knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly regarding Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
An efficient worker capable of sustained physical effort and able to respond to a demanding workload.
Strong initiative, a positive attitude, and flexibility toward teamwork.
A genuinely caring and understanding approach toward elderly residents.
