ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a casual, flexible position designed to offer work-life balance while providing cover for planned and unplanned shift gaps. As a Bank Chef, you will deliver hotel/restaurant culinary standards using fresh, seasonal ingredients without the grueling split shifts and late night hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in preparing wholesome, flavoursome, and nutritious dishes tailored to residents' preferences.
Help manage kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence.
Cook high-quality meals from scratch using fresh seasonal produce.
Maintain kitchen safety and hygiene standards in full compliance with HACCP principles.
Help manage stock control, stock audits, and adhere to kitchen budgets.
Support, lead, and motivate the kitchen and hospitality team to maintain a warm and efficient dining environment.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a warm, dedicated chef who brings strong technical skills and a passion for person-centred hospitality.
Requirements & Experience:
Formal culinary qualification (City & Guilds / NVQ / SVQ or equivalent).
Experience working with fresh seasonal food and a solid understanding of nutrition.
Hands-on knowledge of HACCP guidelines and food safety regulations.
Experience assisting in leading and inspiring a kitchen team.
A warm, personable approach with a genuine interest in resident wellbeing.
