Pay: £16.55 per hour

At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are currently recruiting a Bank Activities Assistant on behalf of Barchester Healthcare to join the dynamic team at Silverbirch House Care Home in Guildford.

Whether organizing internal events, entertainment, or community-based outings, you will play a key role in enhancing resident wellbeing, independence, and social connection.

Key Responsibilities

• Activity Coordination: Assist in planning and running imaginative, inclusive activity schedules tailored to residents' individual hobbies and needs.

• Person-Centered Engagement: Spend one-on-one time getting to know residents to ensure activities boost their happiness, confidence, and social interaction.

• Community Connections: Help organize local outings, host guests, and foster positive relationships with local volunteers and performers.

• Flexible Support: Step in on a bank basis to support events, seasonal celebrations, and cover shift gaps during staff leave or busy periods.

About You

• Attributes: Warm, empathetic, personable, and naturally creative with infectious enthusiasm.

• Key Skills: Strong organizational abilities, clear communication, and a proactive "can-do" attitude.

• Experience: Prior experience in event planning, care, or social activities is beneficial, but not required—full training will be provided!

• Mindset: Passionate about enriching the lives of care home residents and inspiring staff to join in the fun.
