As a staffing partner, Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to recruit for these crucial Presenting Officer positions within the Home Office Asylum and Human Rights Operations (AHRO) division.
Operating across 8 Presenting Officer Units throughout the UK, you will represent the Secretary of State at the First-tier Immigration Tribunal. On approximately 60% of working days, you will independently prepare and present challenging caseloads, robustly defending sustainable immigration decisions while maintaining professionalism in a public setting.
Tribunal Advocacy: Represent the Secretary of State before the First-tier Immigration Tribunal, delivering structured submissions and cross-examinations in an adversarial environment.
Case Preparation & Review: Review decisions, legal representations, and evidence to build robust legal arguments and undertake target-driven immigration review work.
Legal Expertise: Develop and maintain a sound understanding of immigration law, policy, and tribunal processes.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build positive, professional relationships with Immigration Judges, HM Courts and Tribunal Service staff, legal representatives, and Home Office colleagues.
Operational Flexibility: Adapt quickly to court listing changes, prepare cases at short notice, and complete accurate post-hearing work within tight timeframes.
Legal & Analytical Aptitude: Ability to quickly develop a strong working knowledge of immigration law and analyse complex information with high accuracy.
Resilience & Communication: Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the personal resilience to remain positive and effective when faced with robust challenge from judges or legal representatives.
Pace & Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and proven capability to work effectively under intense time pressure in a fast-changing environment.
