ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Residential Senior Carer at Barchester Healthcare’s Ouse View Care Home, you will lead a team of care staff to ensure residents receive exceptionally high, person-centred support. Working alongside home management, you will coordinate shift duties, oversee medication management, and maintain vital links with healthcare professionals and family members.
Core Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Supervision: Lead day shifts, delegate duties, conduct staff supervisions, and support ongoing team training.
Medication & Care Planning: Oversee the ordering and administration of medication, and regularly review and update resident care plans and risk assessments.
Multidisciplinary Liaison: Act as a key point of contact for GPs, district nursing teams, and resident families.
Person-Centred Environment: Champion resident dignity, choices, and individual preferences while fostering a warm, vibrant, and welcoming care setting.

We are looking for a warm-hearted, compassionate care leader with proven residential care experience and strong decision-making abilities.
Requirements & Skills:
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.
Experience: Proven leadership track record within a residential care home setting.
Clinical Administration: Hands-on experience with medication management, care planning, and risk assessments.
Leadership Traits: Excellent communication, delegation, and team mentoring skills.
