The Role
Are you an organised and meticulous individual looking for a rewarding role where your attention to detail directly supports the comfort and wellbeing of elderly residents? As a Laundry Assistant, your primary focus will be to support the Head Housekeeper in providing a high-quality laundering service as part of the home's hospitality operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Carrying out all daily laundering duties efficiently and to a high standard.
Understanding wash guide instructions, the laundering requirements of a wide variety of textiles, and the correct properties of cleaning materials to ensure items are perfectly maintained.
Practicing safe systems of work across various tasks—particularly when moving and handling loads—by assessing risks to ensure personal safety as well as the safety of residents, visitors, and colleagues.
Contributing fully to teamwork, responding positively to colleagues, and promptly actioning reasonable work instructions.

Requirements:
A good understanding of laundering requirements applicable to diverse textiles.
Previous experience working in a similar setting or within a hotel environment.
A positive, compassionate attitude toward residents and a commitment to delivering exceptional laundry services.
Requirements for Employment: Proof of eligibility to work in the UK and a DBS Disclosure check (the cost of which is fully covered by Avery Healthcare).
