The Role
Are you an experienced care professional looking for a leadership role where you can mentor teams, elevate standards of living, and make a profound difference in residents' lives? As a Senior Care Assistant, your focus will be to support and work alongside the care team to deliver exceptional personal care, fostering a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring the well-being of each resident, identifying changes impacting care and care plans, ensuring new needs are met, and updating written records accordingly.
Participating in the person-centred care planning process by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
Supporting residents safely with their medication requirements.
Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their professional development.
Acting as a key point of contact for residents, relatives, visitors, and health/social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are actioned and concerns or complaints are promptly escalated.

Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in care for care homes.
A minimum of 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A positive, nurturing attitude toward both supporting residents and mentoring staff.
Responsiveness and flexibility to cover a range of responsibilities.
Requirements for Employment: Proof of eligibility to work in the UK and a DBS Disclosure check (the cost of which is fully covered by Avery Healthcare).
