About the Role
We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Care Assistant to join the award-winning team at Acorn Lodge Care Home, operated by Avery Healthcare. In this rewarding role, you will work collaboratively as part of our care team to deliver high standards of personal care, ensuring continuity of support while fiercely safeguarding our residents' dignity, choice, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal hygiene and daily care needs, always promoting maximum independence and treating individuals with utmost dignity and respect.
Monitor resident wellbeing closely, recognizing clinical risk areas such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, or signs of infection, and escalate any concerns in a timely manner.
Act courteously and professionally toward residents, visitors, and colleagues at all times.
Practice safe systems of work across all care duties.
Candidate Requirements
Experience: No prior experience is required! We provide a thorough, supportive induction and training program to ensure you feel fully confident and equipped from day one.
Skills & Attributes: Strong verbal and written communication skills, initiative, adaptability, and an efficient, respectful approach to teamwork. You must consistently live by our core values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability.
