About the Role

As a temporary Senior Care Assistant providing maternity leave cover at Cedars Care Home, you will look after the diverse needs of our residents on night shifts to ensure the delivery of exceptional, person-centred care and support.

In this vital leadership role, you will supervise and inspire a dedicated team of night Care Assistants alongside the Deputy General Manager. You will also support the clinical team in specialized areas such as medication administration, assessments, care plans, or care reviews—always championing resident dignity and helping create a warm, secure night environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and inspire a team of Care Assistants during night shifts to maintain high standards of person-centred care.

• Support the clinical team with specific responsibilities, including medication management, care plans, risk assessments, and reviews.

• Deliver compassionate, hands-on personal care while respecting individual resident dignity and preferences through the night.

• Help maintain a warm, secure, and welcoming environment for residents.

• Fulfill a temporary full-time contract of 48 hours per week covering maternity leave commencing in October 2026.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care.

• Experience: Specific knowledge and background in clinical care for the elderly.
