Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, 14:00 – 22:00
About the Role
As a supportive bridge staffing agency, we are proud to partner with Yusen Logistics in their mission to become the world’s preferred supply chain logistics company. They are currently seeking a hands-on, proactive Warehouse Team Leader to oversee daily operations on the PM shift at their Sustainable Distribution Centre (SDC) in Northampton.
In this role, you will lead by example, take a practical approach to inbound and outbound processes, and ensure a safe, productive, and collaborative team culture.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence: Oversee shift performance to ensure safe, efficient handling of goods, keeping damage to a minimum and adhering strictly to SOPs and WIs.
Health & Safety: Champion a safety-first culture by ensuring equipment checks, PPE compliance, and safe manual handling techniques are consistently maintained.
Team Leadership & Development: Brief, mentor, and manage team members, drive performance management, complete PDRs on time, and support employee wellbeing.
MHE Management: Ensure appropriate use of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and coordinate training to meet business demands.
Communication: Effectively share business communications across the team and collaborate with other shifts as needed.
Key Requirements
Licence Requirement: Must hold a valid MHE licence (Counterbalance, Reach Truck, or Ride-on A2; A4 Pallet Stacker is highly desirable).
Experience: Proven experience leading a team in a fast-moving warehouse environment.
Skills: Good standard of written and spoken English, computer literacy, and strong communication skills.
Approach: Flexible, proactive, and willing to undergo further training (such as an A4 licence).
