About the Role
We are looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join the award-winning team at Winchester Heights Care Home, operated by Avery Healthcare. Working alongside and supporting the wider care team, you will help deliver exceptionally high standards of personal care, fostering a safe, caring, innovative, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff alike.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor resident wellbeing closely, identifying changes impacting care and updating care plans and written records accordingly.
Drive the person-centred care planning process by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
Support residents with their prescribed medication requirements.
Conduct staff supervisions and actively support team member development and training.
Act as a primary point of contact for residents, relatives, visitors, and visiting health and social care professionals, ensuring requests are addressed and concerns or complaints are properly escalated.
Candidate Requirements
Qualifications: Must hold an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience working within a similar care home or healthcare environment.
Skills & Attributes: Strong verbal and written communication skills, a positive and nurturing attitude toward residents and staff, and a flexible, responsive approach to shifting responsibilities. Must consistently live by our core values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability.
