As a permanent Residential Senior Night Carer at Wakehurst Hall, you will look after the diverse needs of our residents through the night, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care and support.
Taking on leadership responsibilities during night shifts, you will lead, mentor, and supervise a team of care staff while delegating duties. Your role will also involve administering and ordering medication, reviewing care plans and risk assessments, and liaising professionally with GPs, district nursing teams, and resident families—all while maintaining a secure, calm, and comforting environment.
Lead and supervise the night care team on shift, providing guidance, training, and support.
Administer and order medication safely and in accordance with company policies throughout the night.
Review, update, and implement resident care plans and risk assessments.
Liaise professionally with out-of-hours medical services, GPs, district nursing teams, and family members when required.
Uphold resident dignity, choice, and safety while fostering a reassuring and calm environment.
Qualifications: Hold NVQ Level 3 or an Advanced Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
Experience: Proven experience working in a residential care setting alongside demonstrated team leadership skills and the ability to make sound decisions independently at night.
