About the Role
A healthy, nutritious diet is essential to resident well-being. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will work alongside the catering team to deliver first-class food and hospitality that makes a meaningful difference to daily life in the care home.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with meal preparation, basic cooking tasks, and maintaining clean, hygienic kitchen areas.
Help create a fulfilling and high-quality dining experience during resident mealtimes.
Get to know residents and help cater to their individual preferences and dietary needs.
Collaborate closely with kitchen, care, and domestic teams to ensure smooth daily service.
About You
No formal qualifications are necessary—full training will be provided! We are looking for:
Attitude: A caring, reliable, and considerate individual.
Standards: Dedication to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
Experience: Previous experience in a care home or commercial kitchen is helpful, but not required.
People Skills: A warm demeanor and enthusiasm for interacting with elderly residents.
