As a Health and Fitness Coach within our leisure team at Swallows Leisure Centre, you will support members in achieving their personal health and fitness goals through expert coaching, engaging programmes, and a welcoming environment.
This is a purpose-led weekend role where your passion meets impact. You will play a key role in cultivating a community-focused space—from supporting first-time gym users to guiding experienced members—helping shape journeys, build confidence, and foster healthier local communities.
Fitness Programme Delivery: Deliver engaging fitness sessions, including group training and small group activities.
Personalised Coaching: Coach members on customized fitness plans tailored to align directly with their individual targets.
Progress Tracking & Adaptation: Track member milestones, offer continuous motivation, and adapt fitness programmes to ensure ongoing success.
Health Assessments: Carry out health and fitness evaluations, including body composition and cardiovascular testing.
Onboarding & Support: Welcome and onboard new members, helping them kickstart their fitness journey with confidence.
Gym Floor Supervision: Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming gym floor environment while actively assisting members.
We are looking for an energetic, client-focused fitness professional who thrives on motivating others and promoting active lifestyles.
Core Qualifications: A Level 2 Fitness Instructor qualification, holding (or actively working towards within 12 months) a Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.
Industry Knowledge: A solid grasp of health and fitness principles, program design, and safe delivery.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a natural passion for supporting, encouraging, and inspiring a diverse range of members.
Relationship Building: The ability to build trust and form positive, encouraging relationships with members of all backgrounds and abilities.
Vetting Readiness: Compliance with standard pre-employment checks, which may include a DBS check depending on facility requirements.
