At Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, we are currently recruiting a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant on behalf of Barchester Healthcare to join the team at Silverbirch House Care Home in Guildford.
In this essential role, you will help create a clean, safe, and welcoming home for residents, visitors, and staff. Through high standards of housekeeping and cleaning, you will ensure that communal spaces, resident bedrooms, and care facilities remain spotless, hygienic, and comforting every day.
Key Responsibilities
Cleanliness Standards: Carry out routine cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing across resident rooms and communal areas.
Safety & Hygiene: Maintain strict infection control procedures, ensuring equipment, cleaning products, and facilities comply with health and safety standards.
Homely Atmosphere: Ensure rooms and communal spaces are kept tidy, comfortable, and well-presented for residents and their families.
Resident Interaction: Interact with residents in a respectful, warm, and friendly manner while completing your duties.
About You
Qualities: Caring nature, reliable, personable, and practical with strong attention to detail.
Background: Open to all backgrounds—prior experience in housekeeping or commercial cleaning is helpful, but not required!
Mindset: Enthusiastic about making a positive difference in the daily lives of care home residents.
