Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive assessments and diagnoses for patients with complex MSK presentations using advanced clinical reasoning and differential diagnosis.
Deliver evidence-based treatment plans, incorporating advanced therapeutic techniques and requesting/interpreting diagnostic imaging where appropriate.
Act as a clinical lead and role model within the physiotherapy department, championing best practices and professional standards.
Participate in case conferences, multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, and referral discussions as a senior clinical voice.
Collaborate closely with consultants, GPs, advanced practitioners, and other allied health professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care.
Contribute to the continuous development and delivery of advanced physiotherapy services, including pathway integration.
Candidate Requirements
Registration: Current, valid registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Physiotherapist.
Experience: Significant post-registration experience demonstrating expertise in advanced musculoskeletal or specialist physiotherapy practice.
Qualifications: Relevant postgraduate training in advanced practice (e.g., MSc, PGCert, or equivalent).
Skills: Exceptional clinical reasoning, assessment, and autonomous decision-making skills.
Work Style: Proven ability to work independently while thriving within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
