Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Change Grow Live (CGL) to recruit a compassionate, motivated, and recovery-focused permanent Recovery Support Worker to join their team in Crawley.
In this rewarding role, you will support individuals who have successfully completed structured treatment, helping them maintain positive recovery outcomes, build healthy routines, and strengthen community connections. By delivering structured recovery check-ups, providing early intervention for relapse risks, and supporting rapid re-engagement when needed, you will empower individuals to sustain long-term independence and wellbeing. (Note: Applications from individuals with lived experience of recovery from substance misuse are warmly welcomed).
Post-Treatment Check-Ups: Maintain regular contact with individuals after they leave treatment through a mixture of telephone, online, face-to-face, and group-based support.
Community Signposting: Connect service users with housing, employment, education, volunteering, health services, mutual aid groups, and wider community resources.
Relapse Prevention & Safeguarding: Identify and respond proactively to relapse risks, wellbeing concerns, and safeguarding issues, facilitating rapid re-engagement with treatment services if required.
Peer Support Guidance: Provide ongoing encouragement, practical support, and guidance to Peer Support Volunteers while maintaining accurate case records.
Experience & Background: Experience supporting individuals with substance misuse, mental health, wellbeing, or recovery-related needs. Lived experience of recovery from substance misuse is highly valued.
Knowledge & Understanding: Solid grasp of recovery principles, relapse prevention, safeguarding procedures, and person-centred approaches.
Core Competencies: Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage a varied caseload across multiple settings.
Requirements: Supportive team player. Must hold the legal Right to Work in the UK (note: this role is subject to an enhanced DBS check).
