Support Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) and its recruitment initiatives. We are currently recruiting a talented Learning & Development (L&D) Designer to join the Armed Forces Recruitment Service (AFRS) contract.
This landmark service brings together the Royal Navy, British Army, and Royal Air Force into a joint recruitment approach. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality blended learning solutions for AFRS civilian and service personnel—directly strengthening national defence outcomes and shaping a modernised candidate experience.
Content Creation & Storyboarding: Design and create high-quality learning experiences, from storyboard production through to deployment, applying creative thinking and learning design principles.
Blended Learning Delivery: Scope, design, and build training material including systems training, eLearning, videos, guides, and workshops, advising the business on the best blended formats.
System Management: Utilise and become a product expert on the Defence Learning Environment (DLE) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to upload, assign, and manage learning.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Build strong relationships with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across AFRS to ensure learning meets business requirements and raises overall capability.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure all designed training adheres strictly to Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) methodology and external quality standards, continuously evaluating and evolving content.
Digital Tools & LMS: Previous knowledge and experience using digital learning tools (such as Articulate, Rise, and Vyond) alongside Learning Management System experience.
Core L&D Knowledge: Strong knowledge and understanding of L&D models, theories, course design practices, and e-learning standards.
User-Centric Design: A strong focus on the user experience, ensuring content is engaging, easy to consume, time-saving, and relevant.
Communication & Organization: Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills across all organisational levels, coupled with strong organizational abilities.

This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record.
