Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with community employment and skills programs to connect passionate mentors and coaches with rewarding careers. We are currently recruiting a dedicated Progression Job Coach to join the Employment, Skills and Enterprise team in Cardiff.
In this rewarding role, you will support individuals on the Restart scheme to overcome barriers, build confidence, and transition into sustainable employment. By providing personalised coaching, practical employability support, and trusted guidance, your work will help participants achieve long-term career success and create a positive impact across local communities.
As a Progression Job Coach, your responsibilities will include:
Caseload Management: Guide participants through their complete Restart journey, from initial engagement through to sustained employment.
One-to-One Coaching: Deliver tailored needs assessments, action plans, and coaching sessions to identify and address barriers to work.
Employability Support: Provide practical guidance on CV writing, job applications, interview preparation, and modern job search techniques.
Employer Matching: Collaborate with employers and internal teams to match participants to suitable roles and open up career opportunities.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with contract requirements and high customer service standards.
Coaching Experience: Proven background in coaching, mentoring, or supporting individuals into employment or education.
Passion for People: A genuine commitment to helping people succeed and making a positive difference in the community.
Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, motivate, and influence others.
Performance Focus: Experience working in a target-driven or performance-oriented environment.
Organisation & IT Skills: Excellent time-management abilities and confidence using IT systems to maintain high-quality records.
Language Skills: A good understanding of the Welsh language is advantageous.
This role requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, covering spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and relevant police information in accordance with safeguarding requirements. Candidates will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire.
Competitive Pay: £31,000 per annum + excellent benefits.
Schedule & Leave: 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm) alongside 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays (with the option to buy up to 5 additional leave days each year).
