Peripatetic Head of Maintenance

Role Description

Supportive Bridge Staffing & Recruitment is pleased to recruit a skilled Peripatetic Head of Maintenance on behalf of our client to oversee regional facility upkeep and safety across care homes, based out of Bromley. In this dynamic, mobile role, you will travel between sites to maintain pristine physical environments, oversee local maintenance staff, and ensure high operational standards that allow residents to feel safe and comfortable.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee hands-on property repairs, site safety audits, and grounds management across assigned regional sites.

• Supervise local maintenance teams, liaise with external contractors, and assist General Managers with annual maintenance budgeting.

• Ensure all maintenance and estate work is conducted safely and with sensitivity to resident wellbeing and care requirements.

Requirements

• Practical property maintenance background with at least one core trade skill and a full UK driving licence.

• Proven leadership capability, comfortable working independently, and proficient in basic IT applications.

• GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent qualification) paired with strong communication skills.
