About this role
Dimensions is recruiting a full-time Support Worker (37.5 hours a week) in Shrewsbury (SY3) to support two men in their 60s and 70s with learning disabilities, autism and dysphasia, on a 1:1 and 2:1 basis with some lone working.
What you will do:
- Help with personal care, mobility, eating and drinking, and meal preparation
- Give medication
- Support communication, including signs used by one man who communicates without words
- Help them enjoy music, films, routines at home and new outings
- Work closely with families and colleagues
What they ask for:
- An empathetic, patient, outgoing person who uses their initiative
- A full UK driving licence (automatic accepted)
- Previous support experience is preferred because of lone working
Shifts include a 10am start running to 4pm the next day with a paid sleep-in.
Pay stated by the employer: £13.05 per hour plus £50 per sleep-in.
