Position: Materials Assistant (Bank Role)

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with the CQC-rated Outstanding Highfield Hospital in Rochdale—part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading independent healthcare provider—to recruit a flexible Materials Assistant for their materials department.
This is a bank role operating on an "as and when required" basis, giving you the flexibility to supplement staffing levels during busy periods or provide essential cover during staff absences and annual leave. In this role, you will be an active member of the Materials team, helping maintain seamless inventory control, accurate order processing, and high-quality support across all hospital departments.
Department Operations: Play an active role in the daily management and smooth running of the Materials Department.
Service Delivery: Deliver an effective and high-quality materials management and stock control service to all internal customers.
Stock Availability: Ensure continuous product and stock availability through correct order processing and the replenishment of pre-approved items for central stores or hospital wards.
Documentation & Filing: Maintain all departmental paperwork and digital files in an organized, accurate, and audit-ready manner.
Compliance: Fully comply with all relevant mandatory training and hospital safety protocols.
Education: Minimum of GCSE / O-Level Mathematics and English (or equivalent qualification).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in PC use, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Working Style: Ability to work independently using your own initiative without close supervision.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong customer service orientation, paired with good communication and teamworking abilities.
