Supportive Bridge Staffing is excited to represent Lift Utterby in hiring a dedicated 1 to 1 Teaching Assistant.
In this role, you will provide tailored 1:1 support (and work with small groups as needed) to help a child feel safe, seen, and supported in their learning environment. While primarily a 1:1 position, flexibility to support across the school community is required. If you bring patience, warmth, and a passion for primary education, this is a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference in a pupil's development.
1:1 & Group Learning Support: Deliver tailored support to an individual pupil during focused activities, stepping in to guide small groups or assist across the school when needed.
Language & Communication: Foster speech and language development through songs, interactive play, and structured conversation.
Progress Monitoring: Observe and record learning milestones, communicating findings back to the classroom teacher.
Care & Wellbeing: Support personal care needs with dignity and kindness while fostering emotional wellbeing, positive behavior, and a sense of belonging.
Learning Environment: Assist in creating stimulating, organized, and welcoming spaces for young learners.
Essential Criteria: UK Right to Work (sponsorship is not available for this role).
Skills & Experience:
Experience supporting children within a school environment.
Solid understanding of child development and how primary pupils learn.
A proactive, flexible, and empathetic approach.
Advantageous (Not Essential):
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
Familiarity with phonics programs (e.g., Read Write Inc.).
Community-Focused Primary School: Lift Utterby is a warm, rural school federated with Lift North Thoresby. Together, they offer a creative approach to learning that fosters independence, resilience, and respect within a close-knit community.
Lift Schools Network: As part of Lift Schools—a national network of 62 schools—you will benefit from structured career progression, extensive CPD, and wellbeing resources across the group.
