About this role
Exemplar Health Care is recruiting a Senior Health Care Assistant for days at Adswood Lodge in Stockport, a home caring for adults with complex mental health needs and neuro disabilities such as Huntington's and Parkinson's disease. You will work closely with the Nurse in Charge and lead a small care team.
What you would do:
- Support people with personal care and at mealtimes
- Understand each person's health and wellbeing needs
- Encourage people to take part in social activities in and out of the home
- Promote choice, dignity, independence and respect
- Lead and motivate care colleagues and keep care records to a high standard
What they ask for:
- Relevant care experience
- A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care
- Maths and English at GCSE grade C or above, or functional skills
- A calm, caring manner and the ability to defuse challenging situations
- Good listening, communication and team leadership skills
This is a permanent, full-time day role of 48 hours per week paying £13.77 per hour. Exemplar lists supervision and career prospects, access to wages before payday, retail discounts, a free DBS check, 24/7 counselling and Blue Light Card eligibility.
