Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with employment and enterprise schemes to connect knowledgeable mentors and coaches with rewarding community roles. We are currently recruiting a dedicated Self-Employment Coach to join our Employment, Skills and Enterprise team in Birmingham.
In this vital role, you will empower individuals to turn business ideas into sustainable self-employment opportunities. Through coaching, guidance, and practical support, you will help participants build confidence, develop viable business plans, and achieve greater financial independence and long-term success.
As a Self-Employment Coach, your responsibilities will include:
Business Assessments: Conduct in-depth evaluations of business viability to identify the most appropriate support for participants.
1-to-1 Coaching: Deliver tailored coaching sessions on business planning, finance, budgeting, marketing, sales, taxation, and start-up requirements.
Workshops & Facilitation: Facilitate awareness sessions and workshops helping participants explore enterprise opportunities.
Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with Job Coaches, Jobcentre Plus colleagues, and external stakeholders to deliver seamless support.
Caseload Management: Maintain accurate records, track progress and outcomes, and equip participants with essential tools and resources.
Business Knowledge: Strong understanding of core business functions including marketing, finance, sales, and operations.
Coaching Experience: Proven experience supporting individuals to start or develop a business.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and motivational skills, with the ability to build strong rapport and trust.
Core Competencies: Ability to manage workloads independently while working collaboratively, alongside a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and safeguarding.
This role requires an Enhanced DBS check (covering spent and unspent convictions, cautions, and relevant police information) in accordance with safeguarding guidelines, alongside an Occupational Health Questionnaire.
Competitive Pay: £32,000 to £35,000 per annum.
