Supportive Bridge Staffing is excited to represent Lift Utterby, a warm and welcoming rural primary school, in hiring a dedicated Midday Supervisor.
If you are caring, patient, and enjoy working with children, this is a fantastic opportunity to play an active role in the school community. You do not need formal qualifications or prior school experience—your warmth, positive energy, and ability to keep young people safe are what count most!
Safety & Wellbeing: Watch over students during lunch breaks in dining areas, playgrounds, and school grounds to ensure they remain safe and well-supported.
Positive Behavior: Encourage positive interaction, guide good behavior in a calm and fair manner, and resolve light everyday issues gently.
Support & Safeguarding: Support children who may be upset, lonely, or experiencing difficulties, escalating any safeguarding concerns to appropriate school staff.
Activities & Environment: Help organize engaging lunchtime activities or clubs when needed, and assist in keeping tables and dining areas clean and tidy post-meals.
Essential Criteria: UK Right to Work.
Core Qualities: High empathy, strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Advantageous (Not Essential): Experience supervising children or young people (including as a parent or carer) and basic First Aid training.
