Salary: £47,000 to £54,000 per annum plus annual bonus and excellent benefits

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (39 hours per week, 5 over 7, with flexible shift coverage across days, backs, nights, and a weekend rota)

About the Role

Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency is proud to partner with Co-op to recruit an experienced and driven Transport Shift Manager for their depot in Plymouth.

In this vital leadership role, you will play a major part in delivering safe, efficient, and customer-focused transport operations. Working closely with the Distribution Manager, you will lead a team of up to 70 depot colleagues—including 6 Team Managers—across a 24/7 operation, making sure Co-op keeps its promises to stores and communities across the UK.

• Key Responsibilities: Leading all aspects of transport operations and regulatory compliance across shifts; inspiring, coaching, and developing your team of colleagues and Team Managers; fostering a culture of safety and belonging; removing operational barriers; and building strong relationships with internal and external partners.

What We Are Looking For

To succeed in this role through Supportive Bridge Staffing Agency, you should bring:

• Proven experience working within a transport or retail operations environment.

• Strong knowledge of transport legislation, operating systems, and compliance.

• Qualification: A national CPC qualification, or the willingness to work towards achieving this within your first 6 months.

• Great leadership skills, with a track record of supporting colleague development and driving operational changes in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

• The ability to reliably commute to Plymouth.
