As a Maintenance Operative, your focus will be to ensure the building and grounds are exceptionally well-maintained. By undertaking routine maintenance tasks, service checks, and basic fixes to equipment and systems, you will ensure our facilities remain fully functional, safe, and welcoming for our residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out general maintenance tasks and basic repairs (including electrical, plumbing, joinery, and building work) both inside and outside the home.
Support new residents by helping them arrange their rooms just as they wish.
Ensure routine redecoration is completed as required to maintain the home's high standards.
Advise on the supply and quality of items used, ensuring timely and appropriate ordering of replacement goods.
Participate in the on-call rota to provide an out-of-hours emergency service when needed.

Experience & Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a general maintenance or handy person role, and/or hold a professional qualification in a trade.
Requirements: Must hold a full driving licence.
Knowledge & Skills: Good working knowledge of Health and Safety (particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments), alongside adaptability and flexibility to cover responsibilities at short notice.
Compliance: Applicants must have proof of eligibility to work in the UK and undergo a DBS disclosure check (cost met by Avery Healthcare).
